Thought you might like to see
where three Bibles created by the Recycling Ministry have gone.
A little backstory…after the
earthquake in Haiti in 2010, thousands of Haitians fled to Rio de Janeiro to
find jobs related to the 2016 Olympics. After the Olympics, most of the
Haitians had to leave, and attempted to walk to America. The journey takes
months, during which many died, were killed, kidnapped or trafficked. The ones
who made it to the US border and applied for asylum were detained in low level
jails and detention centers, some of which are in Orange County.

Church members regularly visit the detainees to encourage and pray for them.
The asylum process can take a long time, often over one year. There is not much
we can do for their physical needs, but we can offer them Bibles. Attached are
photos of three of the people who received Bibles that were made available
through funds from the Recycling Ministry.
As they were released from
detention, they had very few possessions. But they proudly had their Bibles
with them. They received hope from these precious gifts and prayerfully, these
Bibles will be a source of eternal hope.

the Kingdom and we so appreciate everything you do!!
